Balls to the wall

The expression "balls to the walls" was introduced in the United States in the 1960s in the context of aviation, or so I am told. The plane had throttle levels that were round tops, similar to a ball on the shaft. When the pilot wanted maximum acceleration, he pushed the throttle all the way forward, to the front of the cockpit, known as the firewall. Since then, "balls to the wall" has come to mean doing something at maximum effort.

But, today, I'm going to take the term very literally. These guys have positioned their balls close to the wall. Why? Are they shy? Are they being artistic? Or are they having a good time. You be the judge. Enjoy.
