R.J. Corman Railpower has a stable of eco-friendly low- to medium-horsepower locomotives. They consume half of the amount of diesel fuel and generate less emissions than conventional locomotives, and they are ideal for both branch-line and switching operations. Corman's parent company in Bardstown, Kentucky, operates 10 short-line railroads in seven states. The short lines range in size from the 14.2-mile Texas Line in Diboll to the 207-mile Pennsylvania Line based in Clearfield.
